The BerlinEM Network for Electron Microscopy

The BerlinEM Network for Electron Microscopy aims to bring together different universities and research institutes in the greater Berlin area to foster cooperations in the area of electron microscopy. This network shall include both electron microscopy laboratories as well as laboratories in industry and basic research who benefit from the capabilities of modern electron microscopes to characterize materials at the nanoscale. As a seed for this network, the DFG has funded a core facility for electron holography in which state-of-the-art electron holographic characterization of strain, charge concentration, electric fields and similar properties will be offered.
